Santi Aouna is reporting that OGC Nice are making a late attempt to sign Chelsea forward Datro Fofana (20) on loan until the end of the season.
Fofana only joined Chelsea from Molde this winter for a reported €12m. However, due to the competition in the forward areas at the London club, and the heavy recruitment in that area of the field, Fofana looks set to be loaned out for the remainder of the season in order to continue his development elsewhere.

According to Aouna, Nice, who also look set to sign Terem Moffi (23) on deadline day, are making a late attempt to loan the striker in a deal that wouldn’t include any option to make the deal permanent. Negotiations between Nice and the player’s representatives began a few weeks back, whilst Chelsea are open to the idea of letting Fofana leave on loan.
There is also interest from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, whilst Nice are also a fan of Lille OSC forward Jonathan Bamba (26), whose contract with Les Dogues expires at the end of the season.
