Speaking to BeIN Sport following Marseille’s 6-1 thrashing of Toulouse on their return to Ligue 1 action, manager Igor Tudor revealed that on-loan Arsenal wing-back Nuno Tavares was supposed to start the match ahead of Sead Kolasinac – but the Portuguese was sick before kick-off. However both players will be happy with their performances, after Kolasinac and Tavares scored either side of half-time in what was a demolition of Toulouse. Manager Igor Tudor spoke of his happiness on the Olympian performance, even with a number of injuries to Mattéo Guendouzi, Amine Harit, and with Nuno Tavares on the bench.

Tudor said that “Actually Nuno Tavares was supposed to start. But he had some vomiting and stomach ache, so we kept him on the bench and then he came in”. The Croate also had some kind words of praise to say about replacement Sead Kolasinac, who also got on the scoresheet, saying that “Sead is a great guy. He always tries his hardest and deserves his success for his work and behaviour.”
