RMC Sport report tonight that Kylian Mbappé remains Real Madrid’s prime target for the coming summer, but Paris Saint-Germain will undoubtedly submit another renewal offer to the Frenchman.

The World Cup winner had given interviews to RMC and L’Équipe this week, in which he indicated that his departure was not definite. His contract expires at the end of the season, and Les Parisiens have not given up yet in their efforts to tie him down to a new deal. The offer would be a short-term contract.

Real Madrid president Florentine Pérez had earlier today said that he was expecting new on the Mbappé front at the turn of the year, although he clarified his comments with RMC later in the day to indicate that he meant next year in a more general sense, and not necessarily in January.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman’s heart appears to remain set on Real Madrid – in his interview with RMC this afternoon, he indicated that his reasons for asking to leave this summer had been based on “a desire, a personal conviction, that for me it was perhaps the moment”, and that his time was over with Paris.
