After a couple weeks of silence, Jon Moxley is now all over the place.

The former WWE Superstar known as Dean Ambrose made his All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut this past Saturday evening at their Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. After the show, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that Moxley will be working the independent scene until the promotion begins their weekly television show on TNT later this year.

Moxley has already been announced for an MLW event, and is now lined up for a big appearance for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) at their Best Of The Super Junior Finals event on Wednesday, June 5th.

NJPW1972.com released the following announcement on Monday, which includes a vignette promoting the upcoming debut of Jon Moxley:

Jon Moxley to make first NJPW appearance on June 5 in Ryogoku!

Jon Moxley will be appearing in Ryogoku Sumo Hall June 5 with apparent designs on IWGP US Heavyweight champion, Juice Robinson. Moxley previously saw worldwide fame as a WWE ‘Grand Slam’ Champion and member of top flight faction The Shield under the name Dean Ambrose.

All month long, Robinson’s matches and commentary have been interrupted by a mysterious video stating that it was ‘time up’ for the IWGP US Champion. Sunday at Makuhari Messe, Robinson exploded during the Best of the Super Juniors broadcast, saying that he knew who the mystery challenger was, and stormed out of the building.

Earlier this afternoon, Moxley posted a video to social media that suggested he was the culprit. After checking the veracity of the post, we can confirm that Moxley is indeed the original video’s creator, and will be appearing on June 5 in Ryogoku Sumo Hall.

NJPW have reached out to Robinson for comment and will provide updates to this story when available.

On June 5 2019, the finals of Best of the Super Juniors 26 will take place from Ryogoku Sumo Hall, on a card that also features Hiroshi Tanahashi taking on Jay White in his return match. The event will be broadcast live, with English commentary on NJPW World.
