Back in January of this year, we reported that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan made a bold claim on Twitter, saying, “I’m about ready to jump on a plane and fly to Japan and get involved with that Bullet Club, man. I’m so excited about those kids.”

We then noted, via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that negotiations did actually take place between Hogan and Bullet Club towards the end of 2017, but the negotiations ended up falling through due to Hogan demanding too much money for the appearance.

According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard, Hogan did indeed request a large sum for the Bullet Club appearance, to the tune of $750,000. New Japan Pro Wrestling decided to decline the deal, and that is when negotiations ended between Hogan and Bullet Club.

Had the deal between Hogan and NJPW gone through, the idea would have been for The Hulkster to appear at Wrestle Kingdom 12 as an honorary member of Bullet Club.
