Harry Kane’s sole career World Cup so far in 2018 was a productive affair. After scoring six goals in as many games, Kane heads to Qatar with the best goal ratio of all players at this year’s tournament to have played at least five games.

Impressively, Kane’s tally equals PSG forward Lionel Messi’s, despite playing 13 fewer games at World Cups, and is also just one goal behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of seven. One-time World Cup winner Thomas Müller boasts the next best goals per game record in Qatar, the German finding the back of the net once every 1.6 games on average in his World Cup career

Brazil and PSG forward Neymar has managed six goals in 10 World Cup games, meaning a goal every 1.67 games on average. Meanwhile, France’s Karim Benzema has three in five, equalling Neymar’s average, and Kylian Mbappé’s four goals in seven games at the 2018 tournament leads to a 1.75 average.
