Close on the heels of a steep hike in fares, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has now decided to increase its parking charges too.

DMRC has decided to increase the parking charges by Rs 2 to Rs 20 across different slabs, effective from May 1. The charges will be revised after a gap of 5 years and, in most slabs, the increase is by 50%.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said the move would “kill Delhi Metro”. He tweeted: “First fare hike and now parking charges hike.
