WWE Tag-Team Championship
Goldust & Stardust vs. The Miz & Damien Mizdow (c)
We’re back from the break and we see highlights of The Miz and Damien Mizdow becoming the new WWE Tag-Team Champions at last night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
From there, we shoot back live into the arena where The Dust Brothers are finishing up their ring entrance. From there, The Miz and Damien Mizdow, the new tag-champs, make their way down to the ring. Miz has both the titles on his shoulders, and of course, Mizdow has two replica titles on his shoulders.
Lilian Garcia does the formal introductions, as this is a match for the WWE Tag-Team Championship.
The match is now officially underway. Lots of back-and-forth action, with Mizdow getting a ton of laughs as he mimics Miz’s movements, even when he’s not there. Miz ends up getting bashed into the steel steps. The trainers at ringside come to check on him.
The finish of this one comes soon after, as Mizdow sets everything up, only to have Miz come in and hit his Skull Crushing Finale for the pin, stealing all the glory in the process. After the match, we head to another commercial break.
Winners and STILL WWE Tag-Team Champions: The Miz & Damien Mizdow
Backstage: Concession Kane, Larry The Cable Guy & Santino Marella
Backstage, we see Kane in a worker’s uniform, handling the concession stand in the arena, selling hot dogs and such. Up walks Larry The Cable Guy and Santino. Kane smooshes a hot dog and mustard all over Santino. Larry dips a hot dog onto the mustard on Santino, eats it and walks off. Riveting stuff, folks.
In-Ring Segment: Rusev, Lana, Daniel Bryan, Sgt. Slaughter, Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter
When we return from the break, Rusev and Lana come to the ring. Rusev complains in English in a promo segment. Lana does as well. The two continue to bitch and moan until Daniel Bryan appears on the big screen and says there’s going to be a special supervisor. With that said, out comes WWE Hall Of Famer Sgt. Slaughter.
If you recall, the options were for Rusev to compete in a battle royal against the entire roster with the U.S. title on the line, or to do the pledge of allegiance with a giant American flag. So, with Slaughter out there, the giant U.S. flag drops from the ceiling.
Slaughter tries leading Rusev and Lana into doing the pledge of allegience. Lana somewhat does it, but eventually they refuse. Lana leaves the ring. Rusev bullies Slaughter into the corner, but out to his rescue is Jack Swagger.
Rusev quickly starts beating down Swagger, who has Zeb Colter watching at ringside with Slaughter. But within seconds, Swagger turns the tide and hits a big belly-to-belly suplex on Rusev. He goes for the Patriot Lock but Rusev ducks out the back door and runs away, leaving the ring as Slaughter, Swagger and Colter celebrate in the ring.
Justin Gabriel vs. Fandango (with Rosa Mendes)
When we return from the break, we see Rosa Mendes in the ring with dark lighting. His new music hits and his new elaborate entrance takes place, with a big elaborate dance between he and Rosa.
The bell rings and here we go. Fandango completely squashes Gabriel from start-to-finish, capping things off with his top-rope finisher for the 1-2-3. He and Rosa dance a bit more after the match.
Winner: Fandango
