The Modern Day Maharajah thinks there’s a real chance he could someday get his dream match with the Brahma Bull.
On Friday, Lennard Surrao of Sportskeeda passed along comments from Jinder Mahal, the current WWE Champion about a potential feud with wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
“I think The Rock would be my perfect pick just because he’s such a huge Superstar and growing up he was one of my favorites, you know he was my idol,” Mahal said. “Just everything—from the way he spoke to his fashion sense to his style in the ring—you know he was a very fierce competitor.”

Mahal will face The Legend Killer Randy Orton in his hometown of St. Louis this weekend at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view in a title rematch. Mahal defeated Orton at Backlash in Chicago a month ago to claim the belt, completing a meteoric rise from career jobber who was released from the WWE in June of 2014 to top titleholder on SmackDown.
Mahal is expected to retain the belt because the WWE has seemingly worked so hard to help him legitimize his championship, and there is talk a program with returning WWE icon John Cena may begin shortly. But is the match Mahal wants still cooking?
“You know I think it’s still possible and can happen one day,” Mahal said. “He (The Rock) likes to come back to the WWE every once in a while. I think it’s a real chance that the opportunity can come to fruition.”
