Tonight’s episode of 205 Live opens up with a recap of last week’s show where WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander successfully defended his WWE Cruiserweight Title against Drew Gulak. 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick then appears to hype The Super Show-Down Title Match between WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander & Buddy Murphy and says that he will be appearing to orchestrate a face-to-face meeting between both the champ and challenger tonight. 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick then highlights the matches for the evening including Lio Rush vs. Noam Dar and a rematch between Mustafa Ali & Hideo Itami.
We then get the usual 205 Live introductory video.
Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness & Percy Watson then welcomes us to tonight’s show. Noam Dar makes his way to the ring for the first match of the evening. Lio Rush makes his way to the ring next.

Lio Rush vs. Noam Dar: Rush hits Dar right before the bell rings. Dar responds by penalty kicking Rush’s legs out from under him. Dar snap-mares Rush into the turnbuckles, then hits a back-body drop for the first pinfall attempt, but only gets a two count. Joseph and McGuinness remind us that this matchup was supposed to happen last week, but Rush has been avoiding Dar. Rush knocks Dar to the outside setting him up for an Asai moonsault. Back in the ring, Rush works over Dar with knife-edged chops and a big powerslam. Dar tries to mount a comeback but Rush keeps cutting him off and eventually wears him down with kicks to the gut. Dar finally gains some momentum and lands a flush elbow to the head. He avoids a crossbody and Rush hits the ring ropes hard. Uppercut from Dar that sends Rush into the turnbuckle. Running elbow and Northern Lights suplex by Dar. Another cover but again a two count. Dar goes to the corner to set up his finisher but Rush attempts a kick. Dar catches him a submission. Rush escapes but then gets suplexed into the turnbuckles. Dar again attempts his finisher but Rush rolls out of the way. Dar starts pounding down Rush in the corner, but gets pulled back by the referee. Rush surprises Dar with a kick to the leg. Spin kick by Rush. Frog splash from Rush and that’s it. Winner: Lio Rush
205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick is backstage with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander & Buddy Murphy. He calls their first matchup a few months ago an instant classic. He ask Cedric his thoughts. Cedric says that he only has one thought: “To win.” Cedric then says that he takes pride in carrying The WWE Cruiserweight Title and representing the promotion. Buddy Murphy then says that Cedric Alexander got lucky last time. Murphy then says that Alexander has had every advantage as a champion and in his hometown of Melbourne Australia, he will become the next cruiserweight champion.
We then get a house ad hyping up WWE Super Show-Down. (Triple H vs. The Undertaker in particular.)
The Brian Kendrick heads out to ringside next for his match and he is accompanied by Drew Gulak & Gentleman Jack Gallagher. His unknown opponent is already in the ring.

The Brian Kendrick vs. Local Competitor: Running kick by Kendrick. He locks in the Captain’s Hook submission and the mystery man taps. Winner: The Brian Kendrick
After the match, Nigel McGuinness says that that victory could be a record. Drew Gulak then attacks the local competitor and nails him with a German suplex. The Brian Kendrick then throws him out the ring and he, Gulak, and Gallagher pose in the ring.
We head backstage where Mustafa Ali is being interviewed. He says that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. He then says that he knows that every time he has faced Itami he has come up short, but tonight it will be different. Their matchup is next.

We then get a house ad hyping up tonight’s episode of WWE NXT.
We head backstage where we see that TJP is wearing Lince Dorado’s mask. He says that he used to wrestle in a mask and removing Dorado’s mask was not at all insulting. He then calls out Kalisto for next week’s 205 Live. Percy Watson confirms the match. McGuinness then adds on another matchup: Akira Tozawa vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher.
It’s time for the main event of this week’s episode. Mustafa Ali makes his way down to the ring first. Hideo Itami makes his way down to the ring next.
Mustafa Ali vs. Hideo Itami: Itami hides in the ropes and slides out of the ring every time Ali gets close. Ali runs to chase him and pulls him out of the ring. Ali lands the first strike with a big chop to the chest. Another one and both men get back in the ring. Ali shows off his athleticism and hits a pop-up dropkick followed by a frankensteiner. Big spinning heel kick from Ali and he’s in full control. Itami surprises Ali by pulling out his legs and whipping him into the ring post. Ali’s head hits hard. Stiff kicks from Itami into Ali’s chest. Itami works Ali over, targets the mid-section and thwarts any comeback attempts. Back on his feet, Ali connects with a few strikes, but Itami responds with a spin kick and a massive DDT. Cover but only a two count. Boston crab from Itami right in the center of the ring and it’s in deep. Itami transitions into a half-crab and Ali is in trouble. Ali tries to crawl to grab the ropes but Itami kicks him in the head and pulls him back to the center. Eventually, he makes it to break the hold.
Itami throws Ali to the outside. He then throws him into the bell keeper area. More kicks to the chest and the referee threatens to stop the match. Suplex from Itami. Itami gets back in the ring looking for a countout victory, but Ali just beats the count. Back in the ring, Ali makes his comeback hitting a kick and his signature roll through facebuster. Sit-out powerbomb by Ali. Cover but only a two count. Ali drops Itami outside the ring. Tope Con Hilo from Ali and the crowd starts chanting 205. Ali throws Itami into the ring and climbs for the 054, but Itami rolls to the outside again. Ali tries a crossbody from the ring steps but Itami catches with a kick to the head. Itami rolls Ali in and goes for a turnbuckle dropkick but Ali dodges. Jumping tornado DDT from Ali onto Itami. He goes up again for the 054 but Itami blocks it. Itami climbs and hits a falcon arrow from the top rope. He then goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Itami puts Ali back on the top rope for another falcon arrow, but Ali pushes him off and immediately lands a splash. Ali pulls Itami to the corner and again climbs for his 054 finisher but again Itami slides to the outside. Before he can get all the way out, Ali lands a 450 splash onto Itami on the apron. The referee counts and rules the match as a double countout. Winner: No Contest (Double Countout)
After the match, both men are still down. 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick runs down to ringside to check on the competitors. They are both selling that they are hurt badly. 205 Live goes off the air.
