BetWrestling.com has issued the following:
When it was revealed that Brock Lesnar would be defending the Universal Championship against two opponents, Braun Strowman and Kane, ardent consumers of WWE were initially puzzled about Kane being involved in the match. Shortly thereafter the consensus was that Kane was added to the match so that neither Strowman nor Lesnar would have to take a pinfall or submission loss. For those unaware, a Triple Threat match creates a situation where a championship can be lost without actually being beaten outright.
Lesnar is currently favored to retain at the Royal Rumble, with odds of -500. This means it would take a $500 bet to win only $100. This makes both Braun Strowman at +300 and Kane at +1000 the underdogs. A $100 bet on Kane upon success would yield $1000.

Lesnar and Strowman met one on one for Brock’s championship in September of last year at the PPV No Mercy and saw the champion defeat the challenger with his finisher, the F5. This was heavily criticized, as the current landscape of important WWE matches usually requires MULTIPLE finishers to defeat an opponent. To be fair, Braun did dominate Lesnar in both the match itself and the scuffles and brawls leading up to it.

With the idea that Kane is only involved to take the pin or be submitted, it would be very interesting to see a prop bet on which competitor will be the one to do so, however no such wager yet exists. Wagering on this particular match is only available to bettors in the UK and Ireland right now, but will be available to gamblers worldwide sometime before the Royal Rumble event.
