We are less than 40 days away from WrestleMania 36, and the match card for the biggest professional wrestling event of the year is finally starting to come together.
Currently there are only two matches officially confirmed for the show, with Men’s Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship, and Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair challenging NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.
With the annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view less than two weeks away, we should see more announcements soon. There are, however, several big programs that have either been rumored or even reported as happening at WrestleMania 36.
A new report from Dave Meltzer just this week indicates that Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns, and John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt are pencilled in for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
There have also been reports that The Undertaker would be returning for a major singles match against AJ Styles – a theory given a lot more credit after the Deadman surprised everyone at WWE Super Showdown, confronting Styles after he had his goons in The O.C. attack Rey Mysterio.
Given their current storyline, Edge vs. Randy Orton is a beyond obvious pick for WrestleMania. Finally, while this is far from confirmed, a tweet from WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus added fuel to the fire that the Canadian legend might be in line to battle “The Boss”, Sasha Banks.

If all our theories are current, that brings the total to 8 matches. The Smackdown Women’s Championship, Women’s Tag Team Championships, Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Championships, and both the U.S. title and Intercontinental title are thus far unaccounted for.
Last year, WrestleMania 35 ran 16 matches in total, with 4 of those on the Kickoff Show. There is still plenty of time, and more than enough space to fit everything on what is likely going to be another over-stacked card, including the annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
