Perhaps one of the most talked about female athletes in professional wrestling today is third-generation superstar Tessa Blanchard. The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard has impressed fans in several independent promotions, as well as during a few WWE appearances, but it was recently announced that she had signed a long-term contract with Impact Wrestling. The promotion did not reveal much beyond the fact that she would be staying with them for an unspecified amount of time, however, the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that Tessa Blanchard’s brand new deal with Impact will last for two years, which will keep her locked in until at least 2020.
There continues to be a lot of speculation over where Rey Mysterio will end up by the end of the year. It is no secret that WWE is trying to sign Mysterio to a contract as quickly as possible, but the masked superstar is reportedly adamant about fulfilling some of prior commitments that he has made. One of those commitments has just been announced by New Japan Pro Wrestling. Mysterio will indeed be competing for NJPW once again during the promotion’s G1 Climax 28 finals shows later on this summer. Mysterio’s opponent has not yet been named, but what is known for sure is that he will definitely be featured on the shows taking place in Tokyo’s Budokan Hall on August 12th of this year.

It’s hard to believe that Jinder Mahal became WWE Champion last year, or that he held the title for over six months, but one of the main reasons why he held onto the title for as long as he did is because of the fact that he had The Singh Brothers by his side to help him win his matches. For months now, Jinder has competed with only Sunil Singh to help him after Samir Singh went down with an injury. Fortunately for fans of The Singh Brothers, Samir recently posted a video update online showing the progress that he has made in rehabilitating his torn ACL over the past six months. Hopefully, it won’t take too much longer for Samir and Sunil to be reunited on WWE programming once again.
