MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team is preparing to compete at the Dakota Wesleyan Open in Mitchell, S.D., on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

SMSU will send 15-20 wrestlers to the second open of the season. This is the final open SMSU will compete in before the conference season weekend will open on Wednesday, Nov. 20., at 7 p.m. at St. Cloud State at 7 p.m.

SMSU placed four wrestlers at the Yellow Jacket Open last weekend with Dillon McEachran leading the way with a 2-2 mark to place fourth, Hunter Pfantz placed fifth, Robert Shields placed sixth, and Hayden Voxland placed eighth.

SMSU will compete in two more opens later this season with the Augsburg Open on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Minneapolis, Minn., the Buena Vista Open on Saturday, Dec. 7., in Storm Lake, Iowa., the Minnesota West Open on Saturday, Jan., 18, in Worthington, Minn., and the North Country Open on Saturday, Jan. 25., in Collegeville, Minn.
