Speaking to reporters this morning at France’s base camp in Istra, Russia, Nabil Fékir as asked a number of questions about his future, for the first time since Lyon publicly announced that the player’s move to Liverpool had collapsed.

“It was great to see Jean-Michel Aulas yesterday at Istra (base camp) but we did not at all discuss my situation at Lyon.”

Fékir was then asked about what the future holds for him, after Liverpool reportedly asked to lower the fee following the outcome of the Frenchman’s medical results:

“(half sighs/half smirks) You know I am here with France, I am happy, and I am not here to discuss my personal situation. We will see about all that later.”

He was also asked about how his knee was feeling, which he had an operation on during the 2016/17 campaign following an ACL injury:

“My knee is super-good. We work a lot on it, we reinforce it. But I honestly feel like before my injury.”
