Marseille have submitted a second, improved offer for Montpellier central midfielder Morgan Sanson with €9.5m, according to L’Équipe.

Montpellier President Louis Nicollin still does not consider the offer to be large enough, holding out for €12m, but the two clubs are still together at the negotiating table and agreement is getting closer and closer.

Aside from Marseille, the player is still the subject of interest from AS Roma and several Premier League sides including Bournemouth and Watford.
