Speaking to RMC, Lille President Gérard Lopez confirmed a desire to sign Yusuf Yazici (Trabzonspor) and Alexis Claude-Maurice (FC Lorient).

On Yusuf Yazici:

He is a player who interests us a lot. One of our principal criteria, after the technical criteria, age, the ability to explode onto the European scene, is the player’s desire to join the Lille project. He really badly wants to become a Dogue. He is an incredibly versatile player and with us we have four attacking players who are moving around the entire time. He can play as a 9, a true 10 or a winger… With the club (Trabzonspor), we do not yet have an agreement.

On Alexis Claude-Maurice:

He is the example of a type of player who could interest us, that we have watched. At the time we watched him, information was leaked in a strategic way by people who had something to gain from that. That is the game of football… It is not blocked, but in this position there are three, four players who interest us. It is not certain that a deal will be done. Today, he is maybe not our priority target in that position.
