ATLANTA, GA — Four people who are reported to be relatives of Atlanta Falcons’ superstar wide receiver Julio Jones were involved in a weekend shooting at an Alabama trailer park. According to Baldwin County, Ala., Sheriff Hoss Mack, the victims are nephews or cousins of Jones, who left Atlanta right after Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys for a “family emergency.” One of the victims is in critical condition, while three others suffered gunshot wounds.
Mack said that Jermain Dickerson and Tamarius Dickerson, who are cousins of Jones, and Royald Jones traveled to the Magnolia Springs residence of Jahlen Baker, who is a half brother to the Dickersons, and confronted him at gunpoint, according to AL.com. Baker was shot in the abdomen during the confrontation.
Guns and a small amount of marijuana were recovered at the scene. About 30 rounds fired during the shootout.
Julio Jones grew up in Baldwin County and played for Foley High School.
