Not everyone can make a string sequin bikini work, but not everyone is Ashanti. The 37-year-old singer is a pro at taking flawless bikini shots, and her most recent photo shoot might be her sexiest — and most glamorous — yet.
In her latest Instagram showcase, Ashanti looks stunning in a sequin-covered string bikini that left little to the imagination. Now, she could have let the bikini shine on its own, but instead the Grammy award-winning singer paired the silver swimsuit with a floor-length, equally sparkly robe and a pair of metallic heels that wrapped around her ankles. She went even took the sparkle factor even further by covering her skin head-to-toe with glitter, not forgetting to highlight both her lips and cheekbones. A pair of silver hoop earrings and sleek long hair completed the look.

Ashanti wore the bikini to film a cameo in a commercial debuting rapper French Montana’s French-vanilla flavored Ciroc. The spot features French Montana and fellow rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs getting ready for a star-studded backyard party where Ashanti, Cassie, DJ Khaled and Monica all show up to celebrate. “Before a big celebration, I always do my beauty treatments,” Diddy tells French Montana in the commercial (below) before laying down with a sheet mask on.
Ashanti makes a sexy entrance by walking out of the pool to grab a drink of the new flavored vodka. The actress shared the final cut of the commercial on her Instagram and congratulated her friends in the caption, “That French vanilla got me like…???? Congrats to my bro @frenchmontana!! & my bro @diddy for the vision…it’s a lifestyle,” she wrote. Along with the commercial, Ashanti shared three more photos flaunting her shiny ensemble from the shoot, including one of her floating in the pool with her bedazzled robe still on.
And if the bikini looks familiar, there’s a reason. Ashanti’s bikini looks almost identical to the sparkly, bedazzled bikini Kim Kardashian West wore on the beaches of Mexico during sister Kourtney Kardashian’s 38th birthday celebration.
Ashanti’s latest sequin bikini moment is just a sampling of her sexy Instagram shots.
During the summer, the star sported a leopard-print bikini designed by Asherah Swimwear with a high twisted braid while posing in front of a pool.

She also knows how to style her bikinis with her favorite pair of sneakers. Below, the singer sports a skimpy white bikini paired with a fresh pair of white kicks and a matching cap, worn backwards.
