The Uttar Pradesh Police was left embarrassed after it emerged that gangster Badan Singh aka Baddo escaped custody while he was being taken to a court in Ghaziabad for a hearing. The 50-year-old who was serving a life sentence for the murder of a lawyer in 1996 escaped from a hotel after tricking the cops who escorted him.

What is even more embarrassing for the police is that there were six cops including an inspector were accompanying Baddo to the court.
