Former TNA/Impact Wrestling announcer Don West has revealed that his cancer is in remission.

“I want to give everyone an update,” West tweeted on Saturday. “After 8 weeks of chemotherapy and 13 treatments of radiation my cancer is now in remission Thank you for everyone’s prayers because they truly worked I look forward to getting back on the radio doing what I love.”

West announced in June that he had been diagnosed with a brain lymphoma and would be starting treatment immediately. West, who is a radio host for NewsRadio 560 KPQ in Washington, wrote a letter explaining that his diagnosis was why his radio show was on hiatus. West wrote that he hoped he would be back on the radio talking about the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Mariners, and the Wenatchee Wild soon.

West was one of the voices of TNA/Impact Wrestling from 2002-2012, working alongside Mike Tenay on the promotion’s commentary team. West was also part of the promotion’s merchandising department.

Before his time in pro wrestling, West became well known as a sports collectibles pitchman on the Shop at Home Network.
