Brazilian central defender Dante is expected to join OGC Nice on Monday, subject to a medical.

According to Nice Matin, the player has arrived on the Côte D’Azur this afternoon, a three year contract is in the offing after a €2m deal was reached between OGC Nice and Wolfsburg.

Dante had the following to say to German media:

“I want to go to Nice. The challenge is magnificent and I will be able to play in the Europa League… I have a great respect for him (Lucien Favre). He helped me a lot during my time at Gladbach.”
