Last month saw Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks put on their massively successful independent wrestling show All In, but lately, fans have begun to focus on the next chapter for The Elite. It is no secret that the contracts for the famous Bullet Club members are expiring soon, and it has been reported that WWE is prepared to send each of them major offers to come in. Cody commented on possibly returning to the company with his comrades in The Elite during an interview with Wrestling Inc. and stated that he will not be a free agent until January 1st of 2019. Once he is available to compete wherever he chooses, he claimed that the possibility of a WWE return with his friends from the Bullet Club is “pretty possible.”
“There’s five of us that’s a core unit that plan to stick together and hopefully we can really do that. I don’t want to make any judgments as I’ve had a great time with these guys. I’d like The Elite to continue and I’d like to bring you guys something like an All In sequel.” Rhodes also noted.
WWE will be hosting its 1000th episode of SmackDown later on this month on October 16th, and just like when Monday Night Raw officially turned 25-years-old earlier this year, WWE is working hard to load up this edition of the Tuesday night program. A reunion of the Evolution faction has already been announced by the company, but the website for the Capital One Arena claims that The Undertaker, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, and Theodore Long are now signed on to appear on the show as well. That same website for the arena hosting the show that evening is also advertising a tag team match pitting AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan against The Miz & Samoa Joe, as well as a match involving Charlotte Flair, Naomi, & Asuka facing The IIconics & Becky Lynch.

Independent wrestling sensation Joey Janela went down with an injury a few weeks back after he landed awkwardly on a dive during a Game Changer Wrestling show. Janela has been updating his fans on social media on the condition of the injury, and although some were hopeful that the issue would be taken care of quickly, the latest update from the wrestler is far from positive. Janela revealed on Twitter yesterday that he will now be forced to miss “at least a year” of in-ring competition due to the knee injury that he picked up. Janela has been stripped of the WWN Championship, and it has been announced that a tournament will decide a new champion with the finals taking place at EVOLVE’s show in Ybor City, Florida on October 28th.
