MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead head wrestling coach Kris Nelson has announced the Dragons’ 2013-14 recruiting class. Seven prep standouts will join the MSUM program starting this fall.
Joining the Dragons will be prep standouts Blake Bosch of Wishek, N.D., Dylan Bowen of Hillsboro, N.D., Garret Hoffner of Mahnomen, Minn., Kyle Johnson of Barnesville, Minn., Jorge Munoz-Pederson of Kerkhoven, Minn., Shane Novak of New York Mills, Minn., and Tyler Schlosser of Parkers Prairie, Minn.
“We’re very excited to welcome these student-athletes to MSUM and to the Dragon wrestling program,” Nelson said. “We look forward to working with them. Not only do these wrestlers have great wrestling credentials, they also do very well in the classroom.
“The 125-pound weight class was one we were looking for. We’ve added two guys there in Blake Bosch and Shane Novak and we could potentially have some depth. We also were looking for some depth and competition in our upper weights and we feel we’ve added that.”
Nelson said it’s possible the Dragons may add more recruits to the class this summer.
