Even though the football competition was down, Raw fell five percent from the prior week last night, to the lowest rating the show has done since June 12th, during the NBA finals.

The episode did 2.77 million viewers, the sixth lowest watched show of 2017. The show was also down to 13th place in viewers among shows on cable yesterday. The drop was at least partially linked to everybody being down because Fox News and the other news stations had large audiences last night.

The other surprise is that the third hour did not drop anywhere near the level of last week, and actually beat last week’s number even though the second hour was much lower.

While the third hour was down among women across the board, it was nowhere close to the kind of drop in the last two weeks. Among men 12-49, there was no drop from hour two to three, which is notable because the show ended with a long women’s tag team match and a cruiserweight segment.

The Redskins vs. Chiefs NFL game did 11.94 million viewers, a 13 percent drop from the prior week. Dancing with the Stars, with John Cena and Nikki Bella appearing, did 9.06 million viewers, up four percent from the prior week.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 2.95 million viewers
9 p m. 2.76 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.62 million viewers
