RMC report that 24-year-old central defender Björn Engels is indeed joining Premier League club Aston Villa after a €10m fee was agreed with Ligue 1 side Reims.

Purchased for €4m earlier this summer following a successful loan spell from Greek giants Olympiakos, the Belgian had a gentlemen’s agreement with the Champagne side that would allow him to leave an English team made a considerable offer.
