Speaking in the mixed zone after Marseille’s 4-0 loss to PSG at the Parc des Princes, Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman sought to defend his side from criticism relating to them not being aggressive enough.
“It is very easy to say that… if there is a lot of space, it is difficult to make tackles and do things. If the team is compact, plays as a collective, then it is easier. But if you are always arriving late, it is difficult to be aggressive. But as I have said, for me PSG are in a different league, they are too good in France and for us it is very important to remain together, think about the team and then think about the more important matches for us that we have against Monaco, Lille and Lyon. We are all playing for the same position and we have to win those three matches.”
