If there’s one thing Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have one thing in common (besides both being Duchesses, of course), it’s that they love small handbags. From mini crossbody bags to petite top-handle satchels, itty-bitty purses are becoming a wildly popular trend thanks in part to their royal wearers — and it seems the trend won’t be going away anytime soon.
So, we’re thinking it’s time to make room in our closets (though you won’t need much) next to our designer tote bags for a new teeny-tiny handbag. Below, we found runway-ready lookalikes for some of our favorite tiny purses the Duchesses have carried — and they’re super cheap, but still look very expensive.

Kate’s Tiny Top-Handle Purse
Kate is the Queen of the royal re-wear — her most recent repeat being her green Manu Atelier bag that she’s worn twice in the past few weeks. Normally, we see her re-wear pieces years apart, so if anything, it says that the tiny, flat top-handle bag trend is on the rise.

Kate’s Little Clasp Clutch
Teeny-tiny clutches are perfect for the days when you have a lighter load to carry — and the Duchess of Cambridge knows it. Take a cue from Kate and add an adorable neutral-hued one to your closet ASAP, like this royal blue suede envelope clutch that’s under $15.

Kate’s Small Croc-Embossed Bag
The Duchess of Cambridge loves to play favorites, especially with handbag brands like Aspinal of London. Kate owns not one, but two tiny croc-embossed top-handle bags from the brand, and she carries them on repeat — so much so, that we’re positive it’ll be one of this year’s biggest bag trends (meaning you need one ASAP in your closet!).

Meghan’s Mini Crossbody Bag
Though she has what seems like an unlimited number of handbag options, Strathberry has become a frequent staple in Meghan Markle’s purse rotation. During a visit in Edinburgh, she wore a the brand’s green mini crossbody bag, and we immediately scoured the internet for similar mini handbags that cost way less.

Meghan Petite Rattan Clutch
Spring is on the horizon, which means it’s necessary to have a straw handbag in your rotation. The J.Crew Rattan clutch is a favorite among the royal ladies — both Meghan and Pippa Middleton have carried it. So, obviously, we’re inspired and need one too!

Meghan’s Itty Bitty Shoulder Bag
While the Queen stays brand loyal to Launer London, Meghan always seems to bust out a new bag for every occasion — and more often than not, it’s a small, versatile purse. The bespoke Givenchy shoulder bag she carried during an outing with the Queen featured a small gold chain, which could be tucked in and carried as a clutch or used to sling over her shoulder. We love a good handbag that can be carried in different ways.
