Noah Centineo, your Netflix rom-com crush turned Calvin Klein underwear model, still can’t believe he’s fronting the brand’s Spring 2019 #MyCalvins campaign.

Centineo, 22, joins Shawn Mendes, Kendall Jenner, A$AP Rocky and more in the new ad spots for the iconic American label, and he wasn’t too shy about showing off some skin.

PEOPLE caught up with the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star, and he got very candid about his modeling gig, what he wears underneath it all and how he balances his mental well-being with social media pressures.

Were you hesitant at all to participate in a Calvin Klein Underwear shoot?
“Not at all. On the contrary I was excited and eager to collaborate with CK. In fact, the experience was so authentic and comfortable that I really, really would love to do it again.”

Did you do anything in preparation for the shoot?
“Joined a gym!”

Boxers, briefs or boxer briefs?
“1,000% a boxer-briefs kinda guy.”

What was your mom’s reaction to the ad campaign?
“The idea of her son being in a CK campaign is really new and exciting.”

Be honest: How much time do you spend on social media?
“I spend way too much time on social media. Like today, I woke up at 6:30 and it is now 10:30, yet I’ve been on my phone for two hours and ten minutes. To disconnect and unplug I really just leave my phone away from my person and connect with the people and situations around me. Finding and committing to daily rituals — yoga, reading, eating alone, working out, hiking, driving etc. — enables me to lessen my time on technological devices and proved very effective in keeping my mental health in check.”
